    FAQs

    Why Truffle Hill?

Not all truffles are created equal. At Truffle Hill, every black Périgord truffle is grown naturally on untouched soils in Manjimup's Southern Forests. We harvest with care, grade with precision, and deliver only the finest quality to chefs and food lovers worldwide. Our obsession with detail means you can expect consistency, authenticity,
and the unmistakable aroma that elevates every dish from ordinary to extraordinary.

    Global recognition and acclaim

Truffle production continued to increase and over 5,000kg was produced in 2014. The Truffle and WineCo. was recognised as the largest producing truffère in the world, exporting over 80% of its crop to supply the world's best restaurants.

    Where did our journey begin?

Since the very first Oak Tree was planted in 1997, the passion and dedication, coupled with an extraordinary microclimate, has seen what was until recently The Truffle & Wine Co. become a premier truffière and the dream of producing French black truffles (Tuber Melanosporum), one of the most highly prized food products in the world, had begun.

Why is the Southern region the best to grow truffles?

The first distinctly aromatic truffle was unearthed on the 28th of July 2003, a perfect black winter truffle weighing 168 grams. At this time, the estate was covered by 40 kilometres of truffle tree rows and 12 hectares of grapevines.
